Lincoln Helped Build The Intercontinental Railroad?

According to the smartest President ever...

Listen, Abraham Lincoln helped build the interstate…the intercontinental railroad in the middle of the Civil War because he understood this was going to be important.

Of course its  a gaffe,(he makes more than anyone because he is an idiot) he meant transcontinental railroad (I think) but will you ever hear it outside the new media interwebs? Doubtful.
