CRIME IN JAMAICA, Pregnant 21-Y-O Killed, 13-Y-O Girl In Custody
A minor dispute gone horribly wrong is how some residents of Southside in Central Kingston are describing Thursday night's incident that left a 21-year-old pregnant woman dead and a 13-year-old girl in state custody.
Yesterday, members of two families mourned the loss of a young woman who already was mother to a one-year-old child, and a girl just at the start of her teenage years.
Chrisann Wilson, better known as 'Angel', was fatally stabbed, allegedly by the 13-year-old, during a dispute on Tower Street in Central Kingston about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
Yesterday, the 13-year-old's mother turned her in to the Elleston Road Police Station where she was taken into custody and warned that she could face a murder charge.
"The two of them did have a beef from early this year and (the 13-year-old) threaten Angel say she must kill her," one resident told The Gleaner.
"Me see when she lick Angel in her chest and Angel run go outside, but is when Angel come back inside she say she get stab and me see the blood," the resident added.
According to reports, earlier this year, Angel challenged the 13-year-old after she was told that the teenager had passed insulting remarks about her one-year-old baby.
That led to a fist fight which ended with the teenager reportedly not satisfied with the outcome.
On Thursday, the dispute was rekindled when Angel was allegedly approached by the teenager and stabbed twice.
Angel was taken to hospital where she died while undergoing treatment, while the 13-year-old fled.
The teenager, after being turned in by her mother, has since been taken to a juvenile place of safety.
The mothers of the two females refused to speak to The Gleaner as tears flowed down their cheeks.
Angel's mother will have to take care of the one-year-old baby left behind while the mother of the 13-year-old will have to deal with a child with a murder charge hanging over her head.
WHY CANT WE JUST GET ALONG AND STOP THE BULLSHIT
