Losing $1.3 billion Is A Major Success?

Only in the Obama Administration is losing taxpayer money a success...

Even though that means $1.3 billion will not be recovered, the Treasury called it a "major accomplishment."

Everything this bunch touches turns to sh*t for the taxpayers.

Failure Of Leadership

Yes, most of us agree Barry is a failure.
In 2006 he said this.

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

Best News All Day

Only 41% would support Obama against a Republican.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that a generic Republican earns support from 47% of Likely Voters, while the president picks up 41% of the vote. Four percent (4%) favor some other candidate, and eight percent (8%) are undecided.

Barry's worst showing yet.

Coburn To The Rescue?

On the surface I like what I hear, mainly that the alternative minimum tax(AMT) will be scrapped.

It comes with tax revenues.

Coburn, however, noted the Congressional Budget Office would score the plan as a $1.5 trillion tax cut because it would eliminate the Alternative Minimum Tax. It would generate a significant amount of revenue out of tax reform and reduction of tax rates, which authors believe would spur economic growth.

I also agree with Rob Port that this deal is being done for the good of the country, and there will be some good stuff in this bill.
The downfall? Barry gets rescued...
Senator Coburn is a good man and I trust him, and I don't trust many in Congress.

Dipstick from North Dakota Kent Conrad is involved...It may not be worth the paper its written on.

In another politically risky move, the Gang of Six plan would achieve significant savings in healthcare programs, Conrad said. The specific spending cuts would be decided later by congressional committees.

To be decided later? Yea right Kent...

We haven't heard that kind of talk except from pure socialists. Everybody's afraid of the government and there's no need soft peddling it, it's the truth. It is the truth. And that's true of Democratic businessman and Republican businessman, and I am a Democratic businessman and I support Harry Reid. I support Democrats and Republicans. And I'm telling you that the business community in this company is frightened to death of the weird political philosophy of the President of the United States. And until he's gone, everybody's going to be sitting on their thumbs.

Marco Rubio is by far the most articulate member of Congress in a good long time.

This President has now been in charge for 2-1/2 years. He has increased federal spending by 28%. Washington went along with this prescription for joblessness…which was the Stimulus Package, and unemployment is higher than it was when he took over, significantly higher, in fact we have not had unemployment this high, for this long, since The Great Depression with no signs of it getting better.

And the classic end for Barry's cheerleader to swallow...
