Husband and wife murdered St Catherine jamaica

Residents of Crescent district in St Catherine have expressed fear, shock and anger about the killing of a couple and the injury of two others yesterday.

Dead are Icylin Graham, a 37-year-old labourer and her husband Ernel, a 40-year-old construction worker of Crescent, St Catherine.

Police reports are that the couple were at home when gunmen kicked off their door, entered and shot both repeatedly.

The men are said to have set the board structure ablaze and escaped on foot. A short distance away, they shot and injured two other men who have been hospitalised.

"Di gunman dem no stop do them ting inna di community from about a month now and see deh dem start to kill off people. It is a case where dem can't ketch Quaco dem ketch him shirt,'' a male resident said.

It was further revealed that the husband may have said something out of place during a robbery next to his house.

"We hear sey the man dem break inside a car and Ernel shout and sey "Lef di people dem vehicle alone,'' and dat was when dem shot him and kill di wife. Dem set di house a fire after,'' a relative of the deceased said.

Meanwhile, the community members told THE STAR that Icylin, also known as Inez, was a very helpful individual who would not hesitate to help anyone in need.

The Major Investigation Task Force has commenced a probe into the matter.
